Where do we begin when everything is connected?

Consulting

At the Intersection of Culture, Developmental Trauma, and Neurodivergence

Navigating trauma and mental health can be particularly challenging for individuals from ethnic minority backgrounds. For those within Southeast Asian diaspora communities, such as Lao, Hmong, Thai, Cambodian, Burmese, or Vietnamese, challenges may include cultural stigma, limited language for emotional expression, and systemic barriers to care. When neurodivergence is also part of your story, it can further contribute to feelings of isolation and make it more difficult to understand and connect with your identity, relationships, and well-being.

I offer consultation sessions for individuals and communities exploring this intersection. These sessions are not therapy, but rather guided conversations focused on providing clarity, insight, and culturally grounded support.

In our consultation work, we may explore

  • How culture shapes your understanding of trauma and identity

  • The impact of neurodivergence on your relationships and daily life

  • Psychoeducation and strategies for self-understanding and empowerment

How I Work

I offer remote consultations to individuals both within and outside of Oregon. These sessions are grounded in a culturally responsive approach and are intended to support your personal growth—not to diagnose or provide treatment.

Fee : $150 per 55 minute session

Consultation vs. Therapy: What’s the Difference?

Understanding the difference can help you choose the right path for support.

Consultation is collaborative. It focuses on education, self-reflection, and strategy. It does not include diagnosis or treatment.

Therapy is clinical. It involves diagnosis, treatment planning, and deep emotional processing, and requires licensure in your state.
